で「アップルの再建策は経費削減ではない。現在の苦境から抜け出す方法を革新することだ。」という意味になります。

the cure for ～ で「～の治療法、～の解決策」という意味になります。
cure は動詞では「（病気など）～を治療する、治す、癒す」という意味です。
名詞では「治療法、療法、解決策、救済法、良薬、治療薬」という意味でつかわれます。

動詞形は cost-cut で「経費を削減する」となります。

例：out of line「線からはみ出して」、out of school「学校から（出て）」

predicament プリ[ディ]カメントは「苦境、窮地」です。
例：predicament of the street children「浮浪児の置かれた厳しい状況」
