音の専門家ジュリアン・トレジャー氏によるTEDでのスピーチ「人を惹きつける話し方」です。

When those two things get conflated, you’re listening into the wind. You know, somebody is bombarding you with their opinions as if they were true. It’s difficult to listen to that.

When those two things get conflated, you’re listening into the wind. You know, somebody is bombarding you with their opinions as if they were true. It’s difficult to listen to that.
で「それら二つが一緒になってしまうと、聞いている人は何が何だか分からなくなります。自分の意見を、さもそれらが事実かのように浴びせかけてくる人。そんな人の言うことは聞けたものではありませんね。」という意味になります。

前回に続いて「話者の7つの大罪」をリストアップしていきます。
最後の「独善（dogmatism）」です。

dogmatism 独善主義は、自分の意見と事実を一緒にしてしまうことでしたね。

When those two things get conflated, で「それらの二つが融合した時」です。
those two things は前回出てきた、facts と opinions です。
get conflated で「融合される、一緒にされる」です。
conflate は「複数のものを融合する、合成する」という意味の動詞です。
例：become conflated with ～「～と一緒になる」

you’re listening into the wind で「何も耳に入ってこない」という意味です。
into the wind は「向かい風の中に」という意味です。
piss into the wind で「風に向かっておしっこをする＝無駄なことをする、無駄な挑戦をする」という表現があります。
listen into the wind で「聞いても無駄だ」という意味になります。

somebody is bombarding you with their opinions as if they were true. で「だれかがあなたに自分の意見を浴びせかける、まるでそれが事実であるかのように」です。
bombard は「～を砲撃する」という意味です。
そこから「浴びせかけて苦しめる」という意味になります。
例：bombard someone with questions「質問攻めにする」
as if ～ で「まるで～かのように」という意味の接続詞です。

何度も出てきましたが、
It’s difficult to listen to that で「それは聞くに堪えない」ですね。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

それら二つが一緒にされてしまうと

you’re listening into the wind.
聞いても意味がない

You know,
～でしょう

somebody is bombarding you with their opinions
だれかが自分の意見をあなたに浴びせかけてくる

as if they were true.
それらがまるで事実であるかのように
