And for more than two hundred years, we have. Through blood drawn by lash and blood drawn by sword, we learned that no union founded on the principles of liberty and equality could survive half-slave and half-free. We made ourselves anew, and vowed to move forward together.

And for more than two hundred years, で「そして2百年以上もの間、」
we have.
have は、現在完了の have で、前述の keep safe our founding creed が省略されています。
we have (kept safe our founding creed).

blood drawn by lash and blood drawn by sword

no union founded on the principles of liberty and equality
could survive half-slave and half-free.
half-~ and half-…

We made ourselves anew,
and vowed to move forward together.
