After several more years of teaching, I came to the conclusion that what we need in education is a much better understanding of students and learning from a motivational perspective, from a psychological perspective.
で「教師としてさらに数年過ごした後、私はある結論に達しました。教育において必要なことは、モチベーションの観点から心理的な観点から、学生と学習をより良く理解することだと。」という意味になります。

After several more years of teaching, で「さらに数年の教職をした後で」です。
several years of teaching で「教員として過ごした数年」という意味合いです。
I came to the conclusion that ～ で「私は～という結論に達した」です。
come to a conclusion で「結論に達する」という意味の言い回し。
reach a conclusion とも言えます。
どんな結論かというと、同格のthatで繋げて、
that ～ 「～という（結論）」
what we need in education is ～「私たちが教育において必要なことは～」
a much better understanding of students and learning で「今よりもはるかによく生徒たちと学習を理解すること」です。
from a motivational perspective, from a psychological perspective. で「モチベーションの観点から、心理的な観点から」です。
from ～ perspective で「～の観点から、～の視点から」という意味の言い回しになります。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

教員としてさらに数年過ごした後

I came to the conclusion
結論に達しました。

～という（結論に）

教育で私たちが必要とすることは
