So taking on big meaningful projects is the first thing we can do to create a world where everyone has a sense of purpose. The second is redefining equality to give everyone the freedom they need to pursue purpose.
で「ですから、大きく意味のあるプロジェクトに取り組むことが、すべての人が目的意識を持てる世界をつくるために私たちができる最初のことです。二つ目は、平等を再定義し、誰もが自分の目的を追求するために必要な自由を得られるようにすることです。」という意味になります。

So ～「ですので～」
taking on big meaningful projects で「大きく意味のあるプロジェクトに取り組むこと」です。
take on ～ で「～に取り組む、引き受ける、～に挑戦する」という意味。
is the first thing we can do で「～は、私たちができる最初のことである」です。
the first thing (that) we can do「私たちができる最初のこと」
to create a world where ～ で「～な世界を創り出すために」
where everyone has a sense of purpose.「みんなが目的意識を持つ（世界）」
a sense of purpose で「目的意識」

The second is ～「その二つ目は～」
redefining equality で「平等という概念を見直すこと」です。
redefine で「～を再定義する」です。
equality イク[ウォ]リティで「平等」
to give everyone the freedom で「全ての人に自由を与えるために」
the freedom (that) they need「彼らが必要とする自由」です。
to pursue purpose.「目的を追求するために（必要とする自由）」です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
