On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. で「それは70年代の半ばのことで、私はあなたたちと同年代だった。その最終号のバックカバーには、冒険好きな人ならヒッチハイクでもしちゃいそうな早朝の田舎道の写真が載っていた。」という意味になります。 前回の文を確認したい方はこちらから。 https://www.eigonou.net/backnumber/03014/ On the back cover of their final issue で「彼らの最終号のバックカバーには」です。 was a photograph of an early morning country road で「早朝の田舎道の写真があった」です。 there が省略された形です。 country road で「田舎道」 country は「国」という意味以外にも「田舎、地方」という意味があります。 the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on で「ヒッチハイクでもしちゃいそうな類の」です。 The country road is the kind ～ の省略です。 the kind that ～ で「～のような類の」という意味の言い回しです。 例：The lowest-quality information is the kind that we find on the Web.「もっとも質の低い情報は、ウェブ上で見かけるような類のものだ。」 どんな類のものかというと、 you might find yourself hitchhiking on なので「そこでヒッチハイクでもしちゃいそうな」です。 find oneself ～ing で「知らないうちに～している」という意味合いの言い回しです。 例：I found myself here.「いつの間にかここにいました。」 hitchhike は「車を呼び止めて便乗すること、ヒッチハイク」ですね。 hitch は「ひっかける」、hike は「歩く」です。
