I once heckled a comedian at a stand-up comedy night. I was expecting him to come back with something humiliating but it really spun him out and the rest of his act was awkward. I felt terrible. Sorry, mate.
で「ある夜、スタンドアップコメディのショーで、私は一度コメディアンにやじを飛ばしたことがある。彼がきっと屈辱的な切り返しをしてくるだろうと期待していたのだが、実際はひどく動揺させてしまい、その後のネタはぎこちなくなってしまった。とても申し訳なく思った。悪かったな、相棒。」という意味になります。

I once heckled a comedian で「わたしはかつてコメディアンにヤジを飛ばした」です。
heckle ～ で「～をやじる、からかう、侮辱する」です。
at a stand-up comedy night.「スタンドアップコメディのイベントで」です。
stand-up comedy は舞台上に一人立って観客に向かって話すお笑いのスタイルです。

I was expecting him to ～ で「私は彼が～すると期待していた」です。
expect ～ to do … で「当然～が…すると思う」です。
(to) come back with something humiliating で「（彼が）何か屈辱的な返しをしてくると（期待していた）」です。
something humiliating で「屈辱的な何か」です。

but ～「しかし～」
it really spun him out で「それはひどく彼を動揺させてしまった」です。
it は「やじ」を指しています。
spun は spin の過去形。
spin ～ out で「～をまいらせる、疲れさせる、制御不能にさせる」です。
車のレースで相手の車をスピンアウトさせるイメージですね。
例：He was completely spun out by the workload.「彼はその仕事量で完全にまいってしまった。」
and ～「それで～」
the rest of his act was awkward.「彼のその後のネタはぎこちなくなってしまった」です。
the rest of his act で「彼の演目の残り」です。
act は「演目、出し物」です。

I felt terrible. Sorry, mate.「すごく罪悪感を感じた。ごめん。」です。
feel terrible で「ひどく罪悪感を感じる」です。
feel bad をもっと強くした表現です。
例：I feel bad for what I did to him.「彼にしたことを申し訳ないと思う。」
mate はイギリスやオーストラリアで男性同士で使われることが多い呼びかけです。
それ以外にも英語圏で一般的に使われる呼びかけはいくつかあります。
国や世代、話し方のスタイルによって使い分けがあります。
（dude, bro, man, buddy, pal, lad, champ, dog など）

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
