And one day I woke up with three days until the deadline, still not having written a word, and so I did the only thing I could: I wrote 90 pages over 72 hours, pulling not one but two all-nighters — humans are not supposed to pull two all-nighters — sprinted across campus, dove in slow motion, and got it in just at the deadline.

で「ある日、締め切りまでもう3日という時に目を覚ました。まだ一文字も書いていません。だから、できることはひとつしかありませんでした――72時間で90ページを書き上げたのです。しかも徹夜を一晩ではなく二晩もして。（人間は二晩も徹夜するようにはできてないのに！）そして全力でキャンパスを駆け抜け、スローモーションのように飛び込み、締め切りぎりぎりで提出したのです。」という意味になります。

And one day ～「そしてある日～」
I woke up with ～ で「～という状況の中で目が覚めた」
with three days until the deadline,「締め切りまであと3日という（状況）」です。
, still not having written a word, で「（なのに）いまだに一語も書いていない（という状況）」

, and so ～「というわけで～、そうなので～」
I did the only thing I could: で「自分にできるたった一つのことをした」
コロン（:）「つまり～」
I wrote 90 pages over 72 hours, で「72時間にわたって90ページを書きました」です。
ここでの over ～ は「～の時間にわたって」という意味合いの前置詞。
in 72 hours だと「72時間以内に」となりますが、over 72 hours は「72時間かけて、72時間ずっと」と継続の意味合いが出ます。
, pulling not one but two all-nighters で「一晩ならず、二晩の徹夜をして」です。
not one but two ～ で「１つだけではなく、２つも」という意味のコロケーション。
pull an all-nighter で「徹夜する」という意味の言い回し。
— humans are not supposed to pull two all-nighters — で「人間は２晩連続徹夜をするようには出来ていない」です。
not supposed to do ～ で「～することにはなっていない、～してはいけないことになっている」です。
そして、
sprinted across campus,「キャンパスをダッシュして」
, dove in slow motion,「スローモーションでダイブして」
and ～「そして～」
got it in「それを提出した」
just at the deadline. で「締め切りギリギリに、締め切りの時間ちょうどに」です。
get ～ in で「～を提出する」という意味のコロケーションです。
例：get a report in「レポートを提出する」

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

— humans are not supposed to pull two all-nighters —
