で「私の考えは、常に自分の世代に届けることです。賢明な作家というのは、自分の世代の若者のために書き、次の世代の批評家たちのために書き、そしてそのまた後の時代の教師たちのために書くものです。」という意味になります。

My idea is always to reach my generation. で「私の考え方は、常に、自分と同じ世代に届けることだ。」です。
reach ～ はここでは「～にリーチする、～に届ける」という意味ですね。
現代的なマーケティングのニュアンスも含んでいます。
例：reach a wider audience「さらに多くの聴衆に届ける」

The wise writer writes for ～ で「賢明な作家というものは～のために書くものだ」です。
the wise writer は「賢明な作家」です。
(for) the youth of his own generation,「自分自身の世代の若者（に向けて）」です。
, (for) the critics of the next, で「次の世代の批評家たち（に向けて）」です。
critic で「批評家」ですね。
つまり同世代の批評家の言うことは気にしなくていいということですね。
, and ～「そして～」
(for) the schoolmasters of ever afterward. で「後世までの教師（に向けて）」です。
つまり『古典』として学校で教えられるようになることです。
