it「そのこと」は先程と同様、側近が他社にデータを供与した事実、です。
the company はファニーメイを指しています。
expose ～ to … で「～を…にさらす」です。

claim はここでは「申し立て、訴訟上の主張」です。
つまり that ～「～だと主張され告訴されること」です。
同格のthat「～という」で claims を説明します。
(that) it was colluding with a rival で「同社がライバル企業と共謀している（という主張）」です。
collude コ[ル]ードゥで「（こっそりと）共謀する、結託する」という意味の動詞。
to fix mortgage rates. で「住宅ローン金利を固定化するために」です。
fix ～ で「～を固定する」です。
つまり、自由競争で住宅ローン金利が低くならないように、ライバル企業と談合したということです。
