almost all travelers で「ほとんど全ての旅行者」となります。
almost all ～ で「ほぼすべての、ほとんどの～」という意味の言い回しです。
例：in almost all cases「ほぼすべてのケースで」

are struck by ～ で「～に襲われる、～に出くわす、～を被る」という意味の言い回しです。s
struck は strike の過去分詞形。
strike は「～を襲う、突然攻撃を開始する、飛びかかる」という意味があります。

何に襲われるのかというと、
how distinct the design of the five-yen coin is で「五円玉のデザインが他と異なっている」ということにです。
distinct は「他とはっきりと異なる、独特な」という意味の形容詞です。
例：distinct culture「異文化」、distinct flavor「独特な風味」、distinct look「はっきりした外見、他の人と違う見た目」
how distict なので「なんて独特な」です。
