And I would want to do that like that. That would be the plan. I would have it all ready to go, but then, actually, the paper would come along, and then I would kind of do this. And that would happen every single paper.

で「そうやってやろう、というのが自分の計画だったんです。すべて準備万端にして取りかかるつもりでした。ところが、いざレポートが出されると、結局こうなってしまうんです。そしてそれが毎回どのレポートでも起こっていました。」という意味になります。

I would want to do that like that. で「私はそれをやりたかった、そんな風に」です。
would は過去の繰り返しの習慣を意味して「～したものだ、よく～していた」います。
like that で「そんな風に、そのように」です。

That would be the plan. 「それが計画だった」です。

I would have it all ready to go,「私はすべてを万全の状態にしておくつもりだった」
it all は papers「論文の課題」のことを指しています。
have ～ ready to go で「それをいつでも出発できる状態にしておく」です。

, but then, 「しかし、そのあとで」
actually,「実際に」
the paper would come along,「その論文の課題が出されると」
, and then ～「そうすると～」
I would kind of do this.「こんな感じにやっていた」です。
動画内のスライドを確認しましょう。
kind of カインダは「ある意味で、ちょっと」とか意味を曖昧に濁す表現です。

And「そして」
that would happen every single paper.「それは論文の課題が出されるたびに毎回起こっていた。」です。
every single paper は副詞的な役割で「論文のたびに」という意味。
everyday や every year などの派生と考えるとしっくりきますね。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
