Mark Zuckerberg のハーバード大学の卒業式でのスピーチ（2017年）です。

But today, we have a level of wealth inequality that hurts everyone. When you don’t have the freedom to take your idea and turn it into a historic enterprise, we all lose. Right now our society is way over-indexed on rewarding success and we don’t do nearly enough to make it easy for everyone to take lots of shots.

Right now our society is way over-indexed on rewarding success and we don’t do nearly enough to make it easy for everyone to take lots of shots.
で「しかし今日、私たちはすべての人に悪影響を及ぼすほどの富の格差の時代に生きています。自分のアイデアを形にして、それを歴史に残るような事業へと発展させる自由がなければ、私たちは皆、何かを失っているのです。今の社会は成功を報いることに偏りすぎていて、誰もが気軽に何度でも挑戦できるようにすることを十分にできていません。」という意味になります。

But today,「しかし今日」
we have a level of wealth inequality「私たちはあるレベルの富の不平等を持っている」です。
that hurts everyone.「みんなを傷つけるほどの（レベルの不平等）」です。
inequality は「不平等」です。
in-（否定）＋ equality「平等」

When you don’t have the freedom to ～「～する自由がないとき」
to take your idea「アイデアを持っていって」
and ～「そして～」
turn it into a historic enterprise,「それを歴史的大事業に変える（自由）」です。
turn ～ into … で「～を…に変える」という意味になります。
it は your idea を指します。
we all lose.「私たちは全員が負けている。」です。
lose は「負ける、損をする」です。

Right now 「たった今」
our society is way over-indexed on ～ で「我々の社会は～にかなり重点を置きすぎている」です。
way は比較級などを強調する副詞で「ずっと、かなり、はるかに」
例：way more comfortable「（～より）はるかに快適である」
over-index はビジネス・マーケティング・社会分析からきた言葉で「過剰に偏る」「（平均以上に）強く重視しすぎている」という意味合いの動詞。
index には「指標」という意味があります。
例：index on ～「～を指標とする」
何に重点を置きすぎているのかというと、
(on) rewarding success で「成功を報いること（に）」です。
つまり成果報酬、実力主義のことですね。
and ～「そして～」
we don’t do nearly enough to ～ で「私たちはといてい十分に～していない」です。
to make it easy ～「～を簡単にする」
for everyone to take lots of shots.「皆がたくさんの挑戦をすること（を簡単にする）」です。
make it easy の it は to take lots of shots を受けています。
その意味上の主語が、for everyone となります。
