で「「目的意識は、仕事からだけ生まれるものではありません。私たちが、誰もが目的を持てるようにするためにできる第三の方法は、コミュニティを築くことです。そして私たちの世代が『誰もが』と言うとき、それは世界中のあらゆる人々を意味しています。ちょっと手を挙げてみてください。ほかの国の出身の人はどれくらいいますか？ では、その人たちのうちの誰かと友達の人は？――いいですね。そういうことです。私たちはつながった状態で育ってきました。」という意味になります。

The third way (that) ～「～する第三の方法」
(that) we can create a sense of purpose for everyone で「私たちが目的を創り出せる（方法）、みんなのために」です。
is by ～ing で「は、～することによってだ」
(by) building community. で「コミュニティを築くこと（によって）」です。
build community で「コミュニティを築く」という意味のコロケーション。
And ～「そして～」
when our generation says “everyone”,「僕らの世代が『みんな』と言う時」
we mean everyone in the world.「世界中のすべての人、を意味する。」です。
mean ～ で「～を意味する、～のことを言う、～を指す」です。
Quick show of hands: で「ちょっと挙手してください」です。
show of hands で「挙手」という意味の名詞です。
略さずに言うと、Let’s have a quick show of hands. で「ちょっと挙手してみましょう」です。
how many of you are from another country? で「みなさんの中でどれくらい多くが他の国から来ている？」です。
Now,「じゃあ」
how many of you are friends with one of these folks? で「みなさんの中でどれくらい多くが、これらの人たちの一人と友達ですか？」です。
these folks は、先程の他の国から来ている人たちを指しています。
Now we’re talking.「そうこなくっちゃ／そうそうそれだよ」などという意味の慣用句。
これは挙手の数がとても多かったことを受けての発言ですね。
We have grown up connected.「私たちはつながった状態で育ってきたのです。」です。
つまり、我々の世代は海外から来た人々と繋がって育ってきた世代だ、ということですね。
それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

全員のために目的意識を作り出せる（方法は）
is by building community.

And
