You've got to really look after it and nurture it. で「私たちは愛という贈り物を持っている。しかし愛は貴重な植物の様なものだ。ただ受け取って食器棚に置いておくだけではだめだし、勝手に育ってくれるだろうと考えちゃいけない。水をあげ続けなければいけないし、本当に世話をして育てなくちゃいけない。」という意味になります。 have got ～ とう言い回しは「～を持っている」という意味です。 have ～ とほとんど同じ意味です。 例：have got good skin「肌がきれいである」、I've got money problems.「金銭問題を抱えています。」 precious plant で「貴重な植物、尊い植物」という意味です。 precious は「高価な、貴重な、大事な、尊い、かわいい」という意味の名詞です。 例：precious metal「貴金属」、precious life「尊い命」 just accept it and leave it in the cupboard で「ただ受け取って、食器棚に置きっぱなしにする」という意味です。 cupboard は「食器棚」です。 think it's going to get on by itself で「自然に何とかなるだろうと考える」です。 get on は「うまくいく、うまくやっていく」という意味の言い回しです。 by itself で「ひとりでに、勝手に、自然と」です。 by oneself で「ひとりで」という意味になります。 例：I live by myself.「私は一人で住んでいます。」、Work by yourself for a few minutes.「ちょっとの間自習していて下さい。」 have got to で「～しなければならない」です。会話文でよく使われます。 have to ～ とほぼ同じ意味です。 例：I've got to be going.「もう行かなきゃ。」
