で「ゴールデンウィークは一大産業だ。断続した一連の祝日群は、結果的に多くの日本人にとって長期の休暇となる。それはまた、多くの国民が国内や海外への休暇に旅立つ時でもある。しかし今年、コロナウイルス感染症のために、ゴールデンウィークはいつもと違うものになりそうだ。」という意味になります。

Golden Week is big business. で「ゴールデンウィークはビッグビジネスだ」です。
big business は「（巨額なお金が動く）一大産業、一大事業」という意味になります。
※ちなみに Golden Week というのは和製英語で、ゴールデンウィークがあるのは日本だけです。

A cluster of holidays で「祝日の集団」です。
cluster は「（植物の）房、星団、集団、一団」という意味の名詞です。
例：a cluster of grapes「一房のブドウ」、a cluster of bees「ハチの一軍」、cluster of galaxies「銀河団」
「一個一個が密集した集まり」を指して言います。
ちなみに a bunch of ～ も同じ意味でよく使われます。
例：a bunch of grapes「一房のブドウ」、bunch of bananas「一房のバナナ」、bunch of flowers「花束」
holiday はこの場合は「祝日」ですね。
祝日がまとまってGWですね。

(that) results in an extended break for most of Japan で「（それは）～という結果になる、長期間の休暇に、日本のほとんどで」です。
that は直前の A cluster of holidays を主語にとって修飾する関係代名詞です。
result in ～ で「結果として～になる」という意味の言い回しです。
an extended break で「長期休暇」です。
extended はこの場合は「長期の、長く続く、長期化した」という意味の形容詞です。
prolonged プロゥ[ロ]ングドゥ「長期の」とも言えます。
例：extended illness「長引く病気」、take extended sick leave「長期の病欠を取る」

it is also a time when ～ で「それはまた、～の時でもある」です。

どんなときかというと、
(when) huge swaths of the population embark on domestic and international vacations. で「人口の多くが国内・海外への休暇に出掛ける（時）」です。
huge swaths of the population で「（日本の）人口の多くが」です。
huge は「巨大な、大規模な」です。
swath スワスは「一帯、帯状の場所、範囲」という意味です。
元は「草を刈った後の一帯、刈り跡」です。
the population は「日本の全人口」です。
embark エン[バ]ークは「船に乗って～に乗り出す」という意味の動詞です。
embark on ～ で「（冒険や旅など）～に乗り出す、～に出立する」です。

But this year, due to COVID-19, Golden Week is going to be different. で「だが、今年、COVID-19のせいで、GWは違ったものになるだろう」です。
going to be different で「違ったものになるだろう」です。
different (form usual) 「（いつもとは）違う」ですね。
