Today, I discovered that my obese 57-year-old mother’s flat-out refusal to close the door when she uses the bathroom doesn’t change even when I have friends over. FML
で「今日、太りすぎの57歳の母がトイレに入るとき絶対にドアを閉めようとしないことが、私の友達が来ているときにも変わらないことが分かった。F*ck my life!」という意味になります。

I discovered that ～ で「～ということが分かった、～ということを知った」という意味の表現です。
同じような言い回しで I found out that ～ とかもよく使いますね。

my obese 57-year-old mother’s flat-out refusal to close the door when she uses the bathroom までが主語になります。
my obese 57-year-old mother’s flat-out refusal で「肥満の57歳の母のきっぱりした拒絶」です。
obese オウビースは「肥満の」という意味の形容詞です。
例：obese child「肥満児」
flat-out は「徹底的な、きっぱりした、全面的な」という意味の形容詞です。
例：flat-out lie「真っ赤なウソ」、flat-out rejection「あからさまな拒絶、強い拒絶」
何を拒絶するのかというと、
refusal to close the door when she uses the bathroom「バスルームを使うときにドアを閉めることを拒絶する」です。
use the bathroom で「トイレを使う、トイレに入る」という意味の言い回しです。
アメリカではシャワールームにトイレがあるのが普通なので bathroom は「トイレ」という意味で使われます。
「お風呂に入る」と言いたいときは、take a bath と言います。

doesn’t change even when ～ で「（その拒絶が）～の時でさえ変わらない」です。
even when ～ で「～の時でさえ」です。

even when I have friends over で「私が友達を家に呼んでいるときでさえ」となります。
have friends over で「友達を家に呼ぶ、家に招く」という意味の慣用句です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
