A couple years in, some big companies wanted to buy us. I didn’t want to sell. I wanted to see if we could connect more people. We were building the first News Feed, and I thought if we could just launch this, it could change how we learn about the world.

A couple years in, some big companies wanted to buy us. I didn’t want to sell. I wanted to see if we could connect more people. We were building the first News Feed, and I thought if we could just launch this, it could change how we learn about the world.
で「数年経ったころ、いくつかの大手企業が私たちを買収したいと言ってきました。でも私は売りたくありませんでした。もっと多くの人をつなげられるかどうか、試してみたかったのです。私たちは最初のニュースフィードを作っていて、これさえローンチできれば、世界の知り方そのものを変えられると思ったのです。」という意味になります。

A couple years in, で「数年が経って」という意味になります。
ここでの in は「～に入ってから、～経ってから」という意味合いです。
a couple years は a couple of years が文法的には正しいですが、カジュアルな場面では of が省略されることがよくあります。
例：Five minutes in, the movie already had me hooked.「映画が始まって5分で、私はもう夢中だった。」
some big companies wanted to buy us.「いくつかの大企業が私たちを買収したがった。」です。

I didn’t want to sell.「私は売りたくなかった。」

I wanted to see if ～「私は～かどうかを確認したかった」です。
see if ～ で「～かどうかを確認する、～かどうかを確かめる」
(see if) we could connect more people.「我々がもっと多くの人々を繋ぐことができる（かどうかを確認する）」です。

We were building the first News Feed,「私たちは最初のニュース・フィードを作っていた」です。
ニュース・フィードは、現在のSNSでは当たり前になっている
自分の友達やフォローしている人の投稿が一覧表示される仕組みのことです。

, and I thought (that) ～「それで～だと思った」
if we could just launch this,「これをローンチできたなら」
it could change how ～ で「それは～の仕方を変えるかもしれない（と）」
(how) we learn about the world.「私たちが世界を知る（方法を）」です。
it は先ほどの News Feed を指しています。
learn about the world で「世界を知る、世界について学ぶ」です。
