口see 音声 シー 見える,わかる,理解する ■turn out 結局～となる,結果～だとわかる 口get fired 音声 首になる 口fire 音声 [ファ]イ・ア ～を解雇する ■could have ～ ～したかもしれない ■happen to ～ ～に起こる ※ 引用元：Steve Jobs' 2005 Stanford Commencement Address - Stanford University http://news.stanford.edu/news/2005/june15/jobs-061505.html I didn’t see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. で「その時はわからなかったが、アップルを首になったことは私に起こり得た中でも最も素晴らしことだったわかりました。」という意味になります。 I didn’t see it then で「私はその時はそれがわからなかった」という意味になります。 see は「見る、会う」という意味でおなじみですが、「わかる、理解する」という意味でもあります。 例：I see.「わかりました。なるほど。へー。」 then は「その時は、当時は」という意味の副詞です。 it turned out that ～ で「結局は～ということになった」という意味です。 turn out は「結局～となる、結局～だとわかる」という意味の句動詞です。 例：It'll all turn out all right.「すべてうまくいくでしょう。」、How'd the test turn out?「検査の結果はどうだった？」 getting fired from Apple was the best thing で「アップルを解雇されたことは最高のことだった」です。 getting fired from Apple が主語になります。 get fired は「首になる、解雇される」という意味の句動詞です。 例：I got fired.「私は首になりました。」 the best thing that could have ever happened to me で「私に起こり得たことの中でも最高の出来事」です。 that 以降が、直前の the best thing を修飾している形です。 could have ever happened to me で「今までに私に起こり得た」です。 仮定法過去完了ですね。 could have ～ で「～し得た、～したかもしれない」という意味です。 例：It could have been better.「もっとうまくやれたかもしれない。」、It could have been worse.「もっとひどいことになっていたかも。」

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
