Year after year, after year, they're more innovative than all their competition. で「例えば、アップル社はなぜあんなに革新的なのでしょうか？毎年、年を追うごとに、他のどの競合企業よりももっと革新的になっていきます。」という意味になります。 前回の文を確認したい方はこちらから。 https://www.eigonou.net/backnumber/03094/ For example: で「例えば」ですね。 Why is Apple so innovative? で「なぜアップルはあんなにも革新的なのか？」です。 so は「それほど、あんなにも」です。 innovative は「革新的な」という意味の形容詞です。 動詞形は、innovate [イ]ノヴェイトゥで「革新する、刷新する」です。 例：innovative design「革新的なデザイン」 Year after year, after year, で「毎年、毎年、年を追うごとに」です。 Year after year で「毎年毎年」という意味の言い回しです。 they're more innovative than all their competition で「彼らは他のどの競争相手よりも革新的であります」です。 than all their competition で「他のどの競争相手よりも」です。 competition は「競争相手、ライバル、競合企業」です。 動詞形は、compete コン[ピ]ートゥで「競争する、匹敵する、太刀打ちできる」です。 例：compete against a rival「ライバルと競い合う」
