And so, we had a lot of great ideas when we started. But what I’ve always felt that a team of people doing something they really believe in is like, is like when I was a young kid, there was a widowed man that lived up the street. And he was in his eighties.

And so, we had a lot of great ideas when we started. But what I’ve always felt that a team of people doing something they really believe in is like, is like when I was a young kid, there was a widowed man that lived up the street. And he was in his eighties.
で「そして、私たちには最初からいいアイデアはいっぱいあったんです。でも、何かを強く信じて頑張っているチームについて、私がいつも感じる（思い出す）ことなんですが、それは、私が子供のころ、男やもめの老人が通りの先に住んでいて、彼は80代でした。」という意味になります。

And so, we had a lot of great ideas when we started. で「そして、私たちはたくさんの素晴らしいアイデアをいっぱい持っていた、始めた時に」です。

But ～「しかし～」
what I’ve always felt that a team of people で「私がいつも感じること、人々のチームについて」です。
what I’ve always felt で「私がいつも感じてきたこと」です。
ここが主語となります。
that a team of people ～ の that ですが、どうしても文法的にしっくりこないので、
about の言い間違いではないかと推測します。
felt about a team of people ～ で「～なチームについて感じてきた（こと）」です。

どんな人々のチームかというと、
(a team of people) doing something they really believe in で「何かをしている（人々のチーム）、彼らが強く信じ込んでいる何かを」です。
つまり、強い信念をもって何かに取り組んでいるチーム、ということですね。
believe in ～ は「～を信じる、～を信仰する」という意味の句動詞です。
例：believe in God「神を信じる、神を信仰する」
ただの believe ～ よりも強い意味合いで、「～を信奉する、信じて頼りにして生きる」という意味合いです。

is like ～ で「は～というようなことです」です。
is の主語は、What I’ve always felt「私が感じてきたこと」です。
ここからジョブズの昔語りが始まるので、要するに、私が～について思い出すエピソードはこんな話です。
という流れになっています。

when I was a young kid,「私が小さい子供の時」です。
young kid で「幼い子供、幼児」です。
young は「若い」という意味以外にも、このように「幼い、年齢が低い」という意味もあります。
例：Baby means a very young child.「赤ちゃんとはとても小さい子供という意味だ。」

there was a widowed man that lived up the street. で「あるひとりの男やもめの男性がいた、通りの先に住んでいた」です。
widowed で「夫を亡くした、未亡人の、配偶者を亡くした」という意味の形容詞です。
名詞では widow で「夫を亡くした女性、寡婦」で、widower で「男やもめ」です。
live up the street で「通りのちょっと先に住む」です。
up the street は「通りのちょっと先に」
対して down the street という表現もありますが「通りをずっと行ったところ」です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

そして私たちは始めからたくさん素晴らしいアイデアを持っていました

チームについて

doing something they really believe in
何か強く信じていることをやっている（人々のチーム）

今度は「頭の中で」一行ずつ日本語に訳しながら…

And so, we had a lot of great ideas when we started.
