Today, I went in for a hug with my friend, but she leaned in for a kiss on the cheek at the same time. What followed was a full-on awkward face collision where I ended up kissing her on the lips. We both stood there, staring at each other before I muttered, “Sorry, gross.” She really took it personally. FML
で「今日、女友達とハグをしようとしていて、同時に彼女は頬にキスしようと頭を傾けた。次に起きたことは、非常に気まずい形でお互いの顔がぶつかって、僕は彼女の唇にキスしてしまった。二人ともその場で立ったまま、お互いを見つめ合って、そして私はつぶやいてしまった。『ごめん、キモかったね。』と。彼女はとても傷ついてしまった。。F*ck my life!」という意味になります。

I went in for a hug with my friend, で「私は友人とハグをしようとした」
go in for ～ は「～をしようとする」という意味です。
例：go in for crime「犯罪に手を出す」
go in で「入る、参加する、関与する」、for「～に向かって」がつながった形です。
but ～「しかし～」
she leaned in for a kiss on the cheek で「頬にキスしようと傾げた」です。
lean in で「傾げる、もたれる」です。
at the same time.「同時に」

What followed was ～ で「次に続いたことは～だった」です。
What followed で「続いて起こったこと」という意味の名詞句。
a full-on awkward face collision で「完全に気まずい顔の衝突」です。
full-on は「完全に」という意味の副詞で、ここでは形容詞 awkward「気まずい」を修飾しています。
face collision で「顔の衝突」
collision コリジョン「衝突」です。動詞形は collide コ[ラ]イドゥ「ぶつかる、衝突する」
where ～「そこでは、その状況で～」
I ended up kissing her on the lips.「私は彼女の唇にキスしてしまった」です。
end up ～ing で「～してしまう羽目になる、最後には～してしまうことになる」です。

We both stood there,「私たちは二人ともそこで立っていた」
, staring at each other「お互いを見つめあって」
before I muttered, で「その後、私はつぶやいた」です。
before ～ は「～の前に」ですが、
今回のように前後を入れ替えて「～の後で」と訳すとしっくりくることが多いです。

“Sorry, gross.” で「ごめん、キモかったね」です。
gross は「キモい、気持ち悪い」という意味の形容詞。

She really took it personally. で「彼女はとてもそれを個人攻撃として受け止めた」です。
take ～ personally で「個人的に受け取る、被害者意識を持つ」という意味の言い回しです。
言われたことなどを、自分への当てこすりとしてネガティブに受け止める、という意味合いになります。
例：Don’t take it personally.「悪い意味じゃなくて。個人攻撃をしてるわけじゃないよ。」

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

but
しかし

she leaned in
彼女が頭を傾けた

for a kiss on the cheek

at the same time.
