TED-Edより「先延ばし魔の頭の中はどうなっているか」です。

Now, of course, I said yes. It’s always been a dream of mine to have done a TED Talk in the past. But in the middle of all this excitement, the Rational Decision-Maker seemed to have something else on his mind. He was saying, “Are we clear on what we just accepted? Do we get what’s going to be now happening one day in the future? We need to sit down and work on this right now.”

Now, of course, I said yes. It’s always been a dream of mine to have done a TED Talk in the past. But in the middle of all this excitement, the Rational Decision-Maker seemed to have something else on his mind. He was saying, “Are we clear on what we just accepted? Do we get what’s going to be now happening one day in the future? We need to sit down and work on this right now.”
で「さて、もちろん私は『はい』と答えました。TEDトークを過去にやったことがあると言えるようになるのは、ずっと私の夢だったからです。しかし、この興奮の真っただ中で、理性的な意思決定者は別のことを考えているようでした。彼はこう言っていたのです。『今、私たちが引き受けたことを本当に理解しているのか？これから将来のある日に、何が起ころうとしているのかちゃんと分かっているか？今すぐ腰を据えてこの準備に取りかからないといけないぞ。』」という意味になります。

Now, of course,「さて、もちろん」
I said yes.「私は、はいと言いました。」

It’s always been a dream of mine「（それは）常に私の夢だったのです」
a dream of mine は「私の夢」です。
my dream とも言えますが、よりマイルド・控えめに「私の夢のひとつ」といった感じです。
to have done a TED Talk in the past.「TEDトークを過去にやったことがあるということ（は）」です。
to have done と完了形になっているのは「（過去に）やった経験を持っている」という意味です。
つまり、過去にTEDトークをしたことがある言えるようになることが、私の夢だった、ということ。

But ～「しかし～」
in the middle of all this excitement,「この興奮の真っただ中で」
in the middle of ～ で「～の真っただ中で、～のさなかに」です。
時間的にも、空間的にも使えます。
例：in the middle of a big city「大都会の真ん中で」
the Rational Decision-Maker seemed to ～ で「（私の中の）理性的な意思決定者は～しているようだった」
(to) have something else on his mind.「他のことを持っている（ようだった）、彼の心の中に」です。
つまり、他のことを考えているようだった、ということです。

He was saying, ～「彼は～と言っていた」
“Are we clear on what we just accepted?「私たちは、いま引き受けたことを、ちゃんとわかっている？」
be clear on ～ で「～についてはっきりわかっている」です。
例：Are you clear on the rules?「ルールちゃんとわかってる？」
what we just accepted で「私たちが今さっき引き受けたこと」です。

Do we get ～? 「私たちは～をちゃんと分かっているか？」
what’s going to be now happening で「今ごろ何が起こっているかを」です。
one day in the future?「未来のある日（の今ごろ）」です。
ここでの now は one day in the future「未来のある日」の「今頃」という意味になっています。

We need to「私たちは～する必要がある」
(to) sit down and work on this「腰を据えてこれにしっかりと取り組む（必要が）」
right now.”「今すぐに」です。
sit down and do ～ で「腰を据えて～をする」という意味の慣用表現です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

Now, of course,
さてもちろん

I said yes.
私はハイと言いました

It’s always been a dream of mine
（～は）常に私の夢のひとつでした

to have done a TED Talk
TEDトークをやったことがあること

in the past.
過去に

But
しかし

in the middle of all this excitement,
この興奮の真っただ中でも

the Rational Decision-Maker
理性的な意思決定者は

seemed to
～しているようだった

have something else on his mind.
何か他のことを考えてる

He was saying,
彼は言っていた

“Are we clear on
ちゃんと分かってる？
