で「この半世紀のあいだに、中国は広範な貧困の中から莫大な富を生み出してきた。だが、ここからが厄介な段階だ――その富を次の世代へどう引き継ぐのか、という問題である。中国にとって、これは新たな、しかも十分に認識されていないリスクを生み出している。現在の流れのまま進めば、中国の近代史における最初の大規模な世代間資産移転は、格差を広げ、特権を固定化し、不満や怨念を生むことになるだろう。」という意味になります。

Over the past half-century,「この半世紀にわたり」
China has conjured vast wealth で「中国は莫大な富を生み出してきた」です。
conjure ～ で「魔法のように～を出す」という意味の動詞。
例：conjure up tons of money「大金をひねり出す」、conjurer「手品師」
out of widespread poverty. で「広まった貧困から（ひねり出して）」です。

Now comes the vexing part で「さて厄介なのはこれからだ」です。
Now comes ～ は倒置的な修辞表現で「～はこれからだ」という意味の言い回し。
vex ～ で「～を悩ます、苦しませる」という意味の動詞。
コロン（:）で「それはつまり～」
how to pass it on to the next generation.「それをどうやって次の世代に引き継ぐかだ。」
pass ～ on to … で「～を…に引き継ぐ、譲渡する」

For China,「中国にとって」
this poses a new and underappreciated risk.「このことは、新たな、そして十分に認識されていない危険をもたらす。」です。
pose a risk で「危険をもたらす、危険を及ぼす」という意味のコロケーション。
underappreciated で「十分に評価されていない、過小評価された」という意味の形容詞。

On its current trajectory, で「同国の現在の軌道上では」です。
trajectory は「（ロケットや天体などの）軌道」です。
its は中国を指し、「中国がこのまま進んでいけば」という意味合いになっています。
the first great intergenerational transfer in the country’s modern history までが主語で「中国の近代史における最初の大規模な世代間資産移転」です。
transfer は「（資金の）移転、送金」です。
will widen inequality,「不平等を広げ」
cement privilege「特権を固定化し」
and breed resentment.「反感を生み出すだろう」です。
