In a remarkable turn of events で「驚くべき展開で」という意味になります。
turn of events は「物事の展開」という意味でよく使われる言い回しです。
例：sudden turn of events「事態の急展開、事態の急変」、after a strange turn of events「ひょんなことから」

the technology we developed at NeXT までが主語で「私たちがNeXTで開発した技術」です。

is at the heart of Apple’s current renaissance で「～がアップルの現在の復興の中核になっている」という意味になります。
at the heart of ～ で「～の心臓部で、～の中心で」という意味です。
例：strike at the heart of the issue「問題の核心を突く」
Apple’s current renaissance で「アップルの現在の復興」です。
renaissance は「ルネッサンス、復興、再興」という意味です。
落ちぶれていたものが再び花開いた状態のことです。
