で「レンタカーをすることは大いにあなたの日本にいる間の活動範囲を広げてくれます。もし国際免許証を持っているなら、あなたもきっとどんな種類の車があなたを待っているかをレンタカースタンド見に行ってみたいことでしょう。」という意味になります。

Renting a car で「レンタカーをすること」です。
例：get a rent-a-car「レンタカーを借りる」、have a rent-a-car for a day「一日レンタカーを利用する」

greatly expand your range of activities で「あなたの活動範囲を大いに広げる」
greatly は「大いに、とても」という意味の副詞です。
expand は「広げる、拡大する」という意味の動詞です。
反意語（antonym）は、narrow「狭める」です。
range of activity で「活動の範囲」です。

while in japan で「日本にいる間」となります。

you might want to head to a car rental stand で「レンタカースタンドに行ってみたいことでしょう」です。
head to ～ は昨日も出てきましたが、「～に向かう、頭を向けて～に向かう」です。
例：head home「帰宅する」

see what kind of vehicles are waiting for you で「どんな種類の車があなたを待っているかを見てみる、確認する」です。
see what ～ はよく使う言い回しで「～が何かを確認する」です。
例：see what is true「何が真実かを見極める」、go see what Chinatown’s like「チャイナタウンがどんな感じか見に行く」
