で「なぜ、マーティン・ルーサー・キングは公民権運動を導いたのでしょう？彼だけが市民権以前のアメリカで苦しんでいたわけではないし、ましてやその当時で最も雄弁な演説家だったわけでもありません。ではなぜ彼なのでしょう？」という意味になります。

前回に引き続き、
Why is it that ～「～なのはなぜなのでしょう？」の文です。

Martin Luther King led the Civil Rights Movement で「マーティン・ルーサー・キングが公民権運動を導いた」です。
マーティン・ルーサー・キングは、I have a dream で有名な、キング牧師のことです。
led レドゥは lead「導く」の過去形です。
Civil Rights Movement で「市民権運動、公民権運動」です。
civil right で「公民権、市民権」です。

He wasn’t the only man who suffered in pre-civil rights America で「彼だけが市民権以前のアメリカで苦しんでいたわけではない」です。
He wasn’t the only man who ～ で「彼が～な唯一の人ではない」です。
who suffered in pre-civil rights America なので、「市民権以前のアメリカで苦しんだ（人）」ですね。
suffer は「苦しむ、～を患う」という意味の動詞です。
in pre-civil rights America で「市民権以前のアメリカで」です。
pre- は「～以前の」という意味の接頭語なので、
「まだ市民権が広まっていないアメリカ」という意味になります。

and he certainly wasn’t the only great orator of the day で「そして間違いなくその当時で素晴らしい雄弁家は彼だけではなかった」となります。
orator オーラターは「雄弁家、弁士、弁が立つ人」という意味の名詞です。
動詞形は orate オーレイトゥで「演説する」です。
great orator of the day で「その当時の雄弁な演説家」となります。
of the day は「その日の」という意味もありますが、この場合「その当時の、その時代の、当代の」という意味の言い回しです。
例：fashion of the day「当時の流行」

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
