で「女性は目新しいものが生きがいでファッション業界のカモである。男性は古いパイプや破けたジャケットの方が好きである。」という意味になります。

Women thrive on novelty で「女性は新しいものが生きがいである」という意味になります。
thrive は「繁栄する、栄える、元気づく、植物などが健康に育つ」という意味の動詞です。
thrive on ～ で「～で伸びる、～が生きがいである、～を楽しむ、～を糧にする」という意味になります。
例：thrive on adversity「逆境に強い、逆境を糧にする」
novelty で「目新しいもの、目新しいこと、新規性、変わったもの、奇抜なもの」です。
例：novelty item「物珍しいもの」、novelty store「アイデア商品店」、latest novelty「流行の商品」

and are easy meat for the commerce of fashion で「そしてファッション業のカモである」です。
easy meat は直訳すれば「簡単な肉」ですので、いわゆる「カモ、売りやすい客」です。

一方、
Men prefer old pipes and torn jackets. で「男性は古いパイプや破れたジャケットを好む」です。
prefer は「～の方を好む」です。
like よりも「～をより好む」という意味があります。
例：prefer coffee to tea「紅茶よりもコーヒーが好きだ」、prefer a damp location「湿った場所の方が好きだ」
old pipes は「古いパイプ、煙管」です。
torn jackets は「破れたジャケット」です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
