主語は、

stage actor は「舞台俳優」です。
a designated living national treasure で「指定人間国宝」です。
living「生きている」national treasure 「国宝」で「人間国宝」となります。
designated [デ]ズィグネイティドゥは「指定された」という意味の形容詞です。
例：designated as a national treasure「国宝に指定される」、designated cultural property「指定文化財」

gave performances of kyogen で「狂言の公演を行った」となります。
give a performance で「公演を行う、演奏する、演技する」という意味の言い回しです。
