We do not believe that in this country freedom is reserved for the lucky, or happiness for the few. We recognize that no matter how responsibly we live our lives, any one of us at any time may face a job loss, or a sudden illness, or a home swept away in a terrible storm.

で「我々は、この国では、自由は幸運な者達だけのためのもので、幸せは一部の者達だけのものだとは決して思いません。我々は認識しています。どれだけ責任を持って生活していても、我々の誰もが何時いかなる時にも、雇用の喪失、突然の病気、暴風雨で家が流されてしまう事態などに直面するかもしれないということ。」という意味になります。

We do not believe that ～ で「我々は～だとは全く考えません」です。
that節内で、どう考えないかというと、
in this country「この国では」
freedom is reserved for the lucky, で「自由はラッキーな人たちだけのもの」です。
be reserved for ～ で「～のために予約されている、取られている」という意味の言い回しです。
the lucky で「ラッキーな者たち」です。
the + 形容詞で「～なものたち」という意味が作れます。
例：the rich and the poor「金持ちと貧乏人」
or「または」
happiness for the few で「幸せは少数の者たちだけのものだ」です。
重複を避けるために動詞部分が省略されています。
省略を補完すると、happiness (is reserved) for the few になります。

We recognize that ～ で「我々は～だと認識している」です。
that節内に入って、
no matter how responsibly we live our lives, で「どんなに責任をもって生きたとしても」です。
no matter how ～ で「どれだけ～だとしても、どんなに～であろうとも」という意味の言い回しになります。
responsibly で「責任をもって」という意味の副詞。
live one’s life で「（人生を）生きる」という意味のコロケーションです。

どれだけ責任もをもって生きても、
any one of us at any time may face ～ で「我々の誰もが、どんな時にも、～に直面するかもしれない」です。
any one of us で「我々の誰でも」
at any time で「どんな時にも」
何に直面するかもしれないかというと、
a job loss, or a sudden illness, で「失業、または、突然の病気」
or a home swept away in a terrible storm. で「または、家が、押し流されてしまう（事態）、ひどい嵐の中で」です。
文法的には、
a home が意味上の主語で、(being) swept away で「押し流されてしまうこと（事態）」となっています。
swept は sweep「ほうきで掃く、一掃する」の過去分詞形。
アメリカは、ハリケーン・トルネードと大きな storm に見舞われることが多い国でもありますね。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

We do not believe that
我々は～だとは決して思わない

in this country
この国では

freedom is reserved for the lucky,
自由は幸運な者だけのものだと

or happiness for the few.
また、幸せは少数の者だけのものだと

We recognize that
我々は～だと認識する

no matter how responsibly
どれだけ責任を持って

we live our lives,
人生を歩んでも

any one of us
我々の誰もが

at any time
いつでも

may face
～に直面するかもしれない

a job loss,
失業に

or a sudden illness,
突然の病に

or a home swept away in a terrible storm.
