The opposition insisted that ～ で「反対勢力は～だと主張した」です。
the opposition は「反対勢力」という意味になります。
文脈的には、今回のロペス・オブラドール大統領を歓迎する大行進がメキシコの首都で行われました。
the opposition はその行進に対する「反対勢力」です。
その反対勢力の主張によれば、
(that) many participants were forced to join the march, で「多くの参加者たちは、強制的に行進に参加させられた」です。
participant パー[ティ]スィパントゥで「参加者」です。
動詞形は participate パー[ティ]スィペイトゥ「参加する、加わる」です。
the march は「そのデモ行進」です。

but ～「しかし」
López Obrador said (that) ～ で「ロペス・オブラドール（大統領）は～だと言った」です。
Andrés Manuel López Obrador はメキシコの現職大統領です。
何と言ったかというと、
(that) he had not put “a penny” of the federal budget into the march. で「彼は連邦予算のうち一銭もそのデモ行進に投入していなかった」です。
put ～ into … で「～を…に投入する」
a penny of the federal budget で「連邦予算のうち一銭も」です。

Demonstrators questioned said (that) ～ で「質問を受けたデモ参加者たちは～だと言った」です。
Demonstrators questioned は「質問を受けたデモ参加者」です。
questioned は後ろから demonstrators を修飾している形容詞で「質問を受けた、質問された」です。
they had come voluntarily. で「彼らは自発的にやって来た（と）」です。
voluntarily で「自発的に、自分の意思で」です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
