で「これは、私たちの時代の闘いです。自由・開放性・グローバルな共同体を重んじる力と、権威主義・孤立主義・国家主義を掲げる力との対立。知識・貿易・移民の流れを促そうとする力と、それを遅らせようとする力とのせめぎ合い。これは国家同士の戦いではありません。思想の戦いなのです。」という意味になります。

This is the struggle of our time.「これは私たちの時代の大きな課題です」です。
struggle はここでは名詞で「奮闘、悪戦苦闘、（奮闘が必要な）大変な課題」
The forces of ～「～の勢力」
(of) freedom, openness and global community「自由・開放性・グローバルな共同体（の）」です。
openness は「オープンであること、寛容さ、受け入れること」です。
against ～「～に対抗して」
the forces of ～「～の勢力」
(of) authoritarianism, isolationism and nationalism.「権威主義・孤立主義・国家主義（の）」
authoritarianism は「権威主義、独裁主義」です。
例：authoritarian country「独裁国家」

Forces for ～「～を支援する勢力」
(for) the flow of knowledge, trade and immigration「知識・貿易・移民の流れ（を支援する）」
for には「～に賛成で、味方して、支援して」という意味があります。
against ～「～に対抗して」
those who would slow them down.「それらを遅くしようとする勢力」

This is not a battle of nations,「これは国家の戦いではない」
it’s a battle of ideas.「思想の戦いなのだ。」
idea は「考え方、意見」です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
