perpetuate は「長続きさせる、生ながらえさせる」です。
形容詞形は perpetual パーペチュアル「永遠の、終わりがない」という意味になります。
例：perpetual peace 恒久の平和

division in our society 「私たちの社会のなかの分裂」です。
division は「分裂、分割」という意味です。
また会社内の「課」という意味でも使われます。
例：Management Division「総務課」
動詞形は divide ディバイドゥ「～を分ける、分割する」です。
