Today, I volunteered to tend bar at a friend’s charity event. I was called incompetent and had a drink thrown at me for stirring a martini instead of shaking “like they do in James Bond”. I’ve been tending bar for 30 years and have never had a drink thrown at me before. FML
で「今日、私は友達のチャリティーイベントでボランティアでバーテンダーとして参加した。マティーニをジェームズボンドでやるようなシェイクではなく、かき回したことで、私は不適任者と言われて、飲み物をぶっかけられた。30年もバーテンダーをしてきたが、飲み物をぶっかけられたのは初めてだ。F*ck my life!」という意味になります。

I volunteered to tend bar at a friend’s charity event. で「私は友達のチャリティーイベントでボランティアでバーテンダーとして参加した」です。
volunteer to ～ で「ボランティアで～する、自ら進んで～する」という意味です。
tend bar は「バーテンダーを務める」という意味になります。
bartender という名詞でおなじみですが、
tend は「（店などを任されて）客の対応をする」という意味の動詞です。
例：tend a store「店の番をする」

I was called incompetent and had a drink thrown at me で「不適任者と言われて、飲み物をぶっかけられた」です。
I was called incompetent で「不適任者（バーテンとして能力がない）と言われる」です。
be called ～ で「～を言われる」です。
incompetent は「能力のない、無能な、不適任の、不十分な」という意味です。
in-（否定の接頭語）＋ competent（有能な、適任な）です。
例：work for an incompetent boss「無能な上司の下で働く」
had a drink thrown at me で「飲み物をぶっかけられた」です。
have ～ … の形で「～を…される」ですね。
例：have a request turned down「リクエストを拒否される」
thrown は throw「投げる」の過去分詞形です。

なぜぶっ掛けられたのかというと、
for stirring a martini instead of shaking で「シェイクの代わりにまきまぜたから」です。
for ～ は「～のために、～の罪で、～のかどで」などという意味があります。
stir は「（飲み物などを）かき混ぜる」です。
バーテンダー用語では「ステアする」と言ったりしますね。

instead of shaking “like they do in James Bond”. で「”映画のジェームズボンドの中でやっているように”シェイクする代わりに」です。
ジェームズボンドではマティーニをシェイクするシーンがあるのですね。
shake は、バーテンダーがよくやるように、シェイカーでシャカシャカやることですね。
instead of ～ は「～の代わりに」です。
