で「前年の最後の数日か新年の最初の数日の間に、松と竹と梅の木でできた緑色の飾りを日本人の家や会社の前であなたは目にしたかもしれない。」という意味になります。

You might have seen ～ で「あなたは～を見たかもしれない、～を見たのではないでしょうか」という意味の表現です。

a green decoration made of ～ で「～でできた緑色の飾り」です。
made of ～ で「（材料・素材）～でできた、～で作られた」という意味の言い回しですね。

何でできているかというと、
pine, bamboo and plum (ume) trees で「松と竹と梅の木」です。
pine は「松」という意味になります。
plum は「梅」です。Japanese plum とも言います。
いわゆる「松竹梅」pine, bamboo, and plum です。

in front of Japanese people’s houses and offices で「日本人の家やオフィスの前で」です。
in front of ～ で「～の前で、～の前に」です。

during the last few days of the old year and the first few days of the new year で「～の間に、前年の最後数日と、新年の最初の数日」です。
during ～ で「～の間に、～の期間に」です。
the last few days of the old year 「旧年の最後の数日」です。
the old year は the previous year とも言えます。
the first few days of the new year で「新年の最初の数日」です。
few days は「数日、２～３日」です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
