Amazon is rethinking its decision で「アマゾンがその決断を考え直している」です。
rethink ～ は「～を考え直す、再考する」という意味の動詞（verb）です。
its decision で「その決断」です。its はアマゾンのことです。
会社・法人の所有格は its となります。

どんな決定かというと、
to create an additional headquarters in New York City で「ニューヨーク市に追加の本社を立てるという（決断）」です。
an additional headquarters で「追加の本社、第二の本社」です。
headquarters は「作戦司令部、本社」という意味の名詞です。
-s がついて複数形ですが、単数形扱いです。
例：The company headquarters is located in New York City.「その会社の本社はニューヨーク市にある。」
New York City は「ニューヨーク市」です。NYCと略されます。
New York だけだとニューヨーク州という意味にもなるので注意しましょう。

amid ～ で「～の渦中で、～の真っただ中で」という意味の前置詞です。

opposition from key political leaders で「影響力を持つ政治家たちの反対」です。
opposition ア・パ・[ズィ]・ション は「反対、敵対」という意味の名詞です。
動詞形は oppose オポウズ「～に反対する」です。
key は「肝要な、きわめて重要な」という意味の形容詞です。
例：key base「最重要拠点」

and protests in the community で「地域の抗議活動」となります。
protests は「抗議活動」という意味の名詞です。
名詞の場合は プ[ロ]ウテストゥと発音します。
動詞ではアクセントが後に来て プロ[テ]ストゥとなります。
例：mass-protests「集団抗議活動」、put down protests「抗議行動を鎮圧する」

ちなみにワシントンポストは2013年にアマゾンの創業者ジェフ・ベゾスに買収されています。
