で「どのように将来の日本がエネルギー需要を賄うかという問題は、必ずしもあなた温泉にゆったり浸かっている時に考えるようなものではないかもしれないが、地熱発電の提唱者によると、あなたが今浸かっている温泉のお湯が解決策の一部となる。」という意味になります。

How Japan can meet its future energy needs までが主語です。
「どのように日本が将来のエネルギー需要を賄うか」です。
meet は「会う」以外にも、「需要などを満たす」という意味があります。
例：meet a criterion「基準を満たす」、meet a growing power demand「増大する電力需要を満たす」

is not necessarily something you think about で「～は必ずしも考えるようなことではない」です。

というのは、
while enjoying a nice long soak in a hot-spring bath. で「ゆったりと温泉につかりながら」です。
enjoy a nice long soak で「ゆっくり浸かることを楽しむ」です。
soak は「浸かること」という意味の名詞です。
動詞では「浸かる、浸す、ずぶぬれにする」です。

温泉につかりながら考えるような呑気な問題ではない、といういことですね。

But the hot water you’re soaking in is part of the solution で「でも、あなたが浸かっているそのお湯が解決策の一部になる」です。
the hot water (that) you’re soaking in で「あなたが浸かっているそのお湯」です。
part of the solution で「解決策の一部」です。

say advocates of geothermal power. で「地熱発電の提唱者が言う」です。
advocates of geothermal power で「地熱発電の提唱者」です。
advocate [ア]ドヴォキトは「提唱者、支持者、推進者」です。
例：advocates of dams「ダム推進者」、advocates of pro-choice「中絶の権利の擁護者たち」
geothermal で「地熱の」です。
geo- は「地、地球」という意味の接頭語、
thermal は「熱の、温度の」です。
