で「その資材は再充電可能バッテリーの寿命を延ばすと期待されている。なぜならその素材は、バッテリーが充電されるたびに繰り返し自己修復し、その結果、バッテリーのパフォーマンスが落ちないから。」という意味になります。

The material is expected to ～ で「その素材は～すると期待されている」です。
be expected to ～ で「～すると期待される、見込まれている」です。
何を期待されているかというと、
(expected to) increase the life of rechargeable batteries で「リチャージャブルバッテリーの寿命を延ばす」です。
increase the life ～ で「～を長持ちさせる」です。
the material とは、記事を読むと、東京大学が発見した a self-repairing electrode material「自己修復電極素材」となっております。
electrode イ[レ]クトゥロウドゥは「電極」という意味です。

because it repeatedly repairs itself で「なぜなら、その素材は繰り返し自分を修理するから」です。
it は the material を指しています。
repeatedly リピーティドゥリは「繰り返して、何度も」です。
例：as I have said repeatedly「私が何度も言っているように」

each time the battery is charged で「そのバッテリーが充電される度に」です。
each time ～ はこの場合は接続詞的な用法で「～するたびに、～するごとに」です。

and, therefore, its performance does not lower. で「そしてそれ故に、バッテリーの性能が落ちない」です。
lower は動詞で「低くなる、落ちる、低下する」です。
performance lowers で「性能が落ちる」となります。
