トーマス・スウォレズ氏によるTEDスピーチ「12歳のiPhoneアプリ開発者」です。

A lot of kids these days like to play games, but now they want to make them, and it’s difficult, because not many kids know where to go to find out how to make a program.

A lot of kids these days like to play games, but now they want to make them, and it’s difficult, because not many kids know where to go to find out how to make a program.
で「最近はゲームをするのが好きな子供は多いですが、今の子供たちはゲームを作りたいとも思っています。でもそれは難しいです。なぜなら、プログラムの作り方を知るためにはどこに行けばいいかを知っている子供は多くはないからです。」という意味になります。

A lot of kids these days like to play games, で「近年の多くの子供たちはゲームをプレイするのが好きだ」です。
A lot of kids these days で「最近の多くの子供たち」です。
these days は名詞の後にくっ付いて「最近の～」という意味が作れます。
例：students these days「近頃の学生」

but now they want to make them で「しかし（それだけではなく）彼らはゲームを作りたいとも思っている」です。
but now ～ で「（しかし）今じゃ」です。昔と対比したい時の便利な言い回しですね。
例：I used to hate exercise, but now I love it.「私は運動が大嫌いだったけど、今では大好きです。」
make them の them は games を指しています。

and it’s difficult, で「でもそれは難しい」です。
and は必ずしも「そして（順接）」ではなくと逆説的な流れで使われる時があることを覚えておきましょう。

because not many kids know ～ で「なぜなら、～を知っている子は多くないから」です。
not many kids で直訳すると「多くはない子たち」ですが、
(there are) not many kids の略と考えればしっくりきますね。

何を知っている子は多くないのかというと、
where to go to find out how to make a program. で「どこに行けばいいか、プログラムの作り方を知るには」です。
where to go で「どこに行けばいいか、どこに行くべきか」です。
例：I don’t know where to go.「どこに行けばいいのかわかりません。」
find out how to ～ で「～のやり方を知る」です。
find out は「～を知る、調べてわかる、発見する、解明する」です。
例：find out how the real world works「実社会がどう動いているかを知る」

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

A lot of kids these days
近頃の子供もたちの多くは

like to play games,
ゲームをすることが好きです

but now
しかし今は

they want to make them,
ゲームを作りたいとも思っています

and it’s difficult,
でもそれは難しいことです

because
なぜなら

not many kids know
～を知っている子は多くはない（からです）

where to go
どこに行けばいいかを

to find out
～を知るために

how to make a program.
