で「テック系大手のアップル社が、芸術をギャラリーから連れ出して、現実世界にまき散らしている。それは遊び心あふれるデジタルな街の風景を創り出しているが、批評家たちはその技術が邪悪にそして侵略的なるのではないかと恐れている。」という意味になります。

Tech giant Apple で「テック系大手のアップル社」です。
tech はもちろん technology の略で「科学技術の」という意味ですが、基本的に日本で言うところの「IT系」という意味合いで使われることが多いです。
インターネットやスマホ関連などの分野の総称です。
giant は「巨人」ですが、比喩的に「大手企業」という意味になります。
例：auto giant「大手自動車企業」

take art out of the gallery で「アートをギャラリーから外へ連れ出す」です。
take ～ out of … で「～を…から連れ出す」という意味になります。
take は「持っていく、連れていく」という意味の動詞ですね。

and splashing it on the real world で「そして、それをまき散らしている、現実世界に」です。
it は前述の art です。
アートを splash するとはどいういことでしょう。
splash は「液体をまき散らす、（派手に）ピシャッと撒く」という意味です。
ピシャッ、パシャという音からできた動詞です。
液体をピシャッとやって「注目を集める」とか「派手に見せる」と意味合いも含まれます。
この場合は、AR（Augmented Reality＝拡張現実）を使って、町の風景に巨大な虹や文字などを表示することです。

creating playful, digital skylines with technology で「遊び心あふれるデジタルの街の風景を創り出して、テクノロジーを使って」です。
playful は「遊び心あふれる」という意味の形容詞です。
degital は「デジタルの」です。
skyline はよく「地平線」訳されますが、意味的にはどちらかというと「空を切り取った輪郭線、空を背景とした輪郭」という意味合いです。
ですので「街の風景、摩天楼」などという意味合になります。

(that) critics fear could become sinister and invasive. で「（その技術は）批評家たちが恐れている、邪悪にそして侵略的になる可能性があると」です。
critics は「批評家たち」です。
critics fear は挿入的に「批評家たちは～だと恐れている」です。
could become sinister and invasive で「邪悪で侵略的になるのではないか」です。
記事を読むとわかりますが、将来的には、これらのAR技術が使われる現実の物件（ビルや土地）のデジタル所有権の問題が出てくるということです。
PokemonGo の時も、私有地に勝手に人が入って問題になったりしましたね。
