Today, we overheard a customer in our store talking on the phone about how she’d been exposed to someone positive for COVID-19, and was supposed to be at home in quarantine just in case. The terrifying thing is how many other people come into our store when they shouldn’t. FML
で「今日、私たちは、うちの店で一人のお客さんが電話で話しているのを聞いた。その客さん（彼女）が、コロナ感染症の陽性者とどんなふうに濃厚接触したかについて、そして本当なら自分は念のため家で隔離生活をしていなくてはいけないと話しているのを。恐ろしいことは、このお客さんと同じような人が、本来なら来てはいけないのに、どれくらいうちの店に来ているのかということだ。F*ck my life!」という意味になります。

we overheard a customer in our store talking on the phone で「私たちは、耳にした、あるお客さんが、店の中で、電話で話しているのを」です。
overheard は overhear の過去形で「～を耳にした、小耳にはさんだ」という意味です。
over-（向こうの方で）hear（聞こえる）
hear ～ …ing の形で「～が…しているのが聞こえる」です。
知覚動詞 hear ～ … の形で、で動詞原形が来ることもありますが、今回のように ～ing 形が来ることもあるので覚えておきましょう。
例：hear someone whispering「人がささやいているのが聞こえる」、see letters being written on ～「文字が～に書かれていくのを見る」

about how ～ で「どんなふうに～かについて」です。

how she’d been exposed to someone positive for COVID-19 で「彼女がCOVID-19陽性者とどうやって接触してしまったか（について）」です。
she とは前述の電話で話していた a customer を指しています。
she’d been は she had been ～ の省略形で、過去完了形「～してしまっていた」です。
be exposed to ～ で「～にさらされる、～と接触する」です。
例：exposure to HIV「ヒト免疫不全ウイルスへの暴露」
someone positive for COVID-19 で「コロナウイルス感染症が陽性の誰か」です。

and (she) was supposed to be at home in quarantine just in case. で「そして彼女は本来なら～していなければならない、家にいて、隔離生活をする、念のため」です。
be supposed to ～ で「本来なら～するはずだった、～することになっている」という意味の言い回しです。
should とほぼ同じ意味です。
suppose は「～と推定する、～と仮定する」という意味ですので直訳すると「～すると思われている（世間から）」という意味合いです。
例：You’re supposed to be in bed.「君はもう寝ていなきゃいけない時間だ。」
be at home in quarantine で「隔離生活で家にいる」です。
quarantine ク[オ]・ラン・ティンは「隔離、検疫」という意味の名詞です。
in quarantine で「隔離中で」です。

The terrifying thing is ～ で「恐ろしいことは～ということだ」です。

どんなことかというと、
how many other people come into our store when they shouldn’t. で「どれだけ多くの人が、うちの店に入ってきているか、そうすべきじゃない時に」です。
how many other people で「どれだけ多くのそれ以外の人たちが」です。
other people とは、先ほどの彼女以外にも、という事です

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
