When they entered the study, all of these teenagers were interviewed. They were given medical exams. We went to their homes and we interviewed their parents. And then these teenagers grew up into adults who entered all walks of life.

で「彼らが研究に参加したとき、これら10代の若者はすべて面接を受けました。彼らは身体検査を受けました。我々研究員は家庭訪問をし、親たちにも取材しました。その後、これらの10代の若者たちは大人に成長してさまざまな職業や地位に進んでいきました。」という意味になります。

When they entered the study, で「彼らがその研究に入った時」です。
they とは研究の被験者となった若者たちのことです。
entered the study で「研究に参加した」です。

all of these teenagers were interviewed. で「これらの10代の若者たち全員が面接を受けた」です。
interview は「取材する」という意味から「面接をする」という意味もあります。
例：have a job interview「就職の面接がある」

They were given medical exams. で「彼らは健康診断を与えられた」です。
be given は get と同じ意味で「～受ける」です。
medical exam で「健康診断」となります。
exam は「試験、テスト」という意味以外にも、主にアメリカで「（病院での）診察、検査」という意味で使われます。
例：have an eye exam「視力検査を受ける」
健康診断は、checkup, health exam などとも言います。

We went to their homes and we interviewed their parents. で「私たちは彼らの家に行った、そして彼らの両親とも面談した」です。

And then ～「そしてその後～」

these teenagers grew up into adults で「これらの10代の若者たちは大人へと成長した」です。
grow up で「成長する」です。
grow up into ～ で「成長して～になる」という意味です。
ここでの前置詞 into ～ は「～に変化して」という意味合いです。
例：change into ～「～に変化する」、break into pieces「粉々になる」

どんな大人たちかというと、
(adults) who entered all walks of life. で「様々な人生の職業へと進んだ（大人たち）」
all walks of life は「人のあらゆる職業や地位」という意味のイディオムです。
ここでの walk は「地位、身分、職業」という意味になります。
例：listen to opinions from all walks of life「社会の各方面の人々の意見を聞く」

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

When they entered the study,
彼らがこの研究に参加したとき

all of these teenagers
これらの10代の若者たちはみんな

were interviewed.
面接を受けました

They were given medical exams.
彼らは健康診断を受けました

We went to their homes and
私たちは彼らの家に行き

we interviewed their parents.
両親とも面談しました

And then these teenagers grew up
