Because ～ で「～だから、～のために」という意味の接続詞。
構成的には、従属節が先にくる形になっていますね。
making music also involves ～ で「演奏することは、また、～を含む」です。
involve ～ で「～を含む、～を伴う」です。
何を伴うのかというと、
crafting and understanding ～ で「～を作り出したり理解したりすることを」です。
何を作り出したり理解したりするのかとうと、
its emotional content and message, で「その感情的な深みやメッセージを」です。
its は music を指しています。つまり「音楽のコンテンツとメッセージ」ということです。
content は前回も出てきましたが「（芸術作品などの）深み、意義、奥行き」と言った意味合いです。

だから、
musicians often have ～ で「ミュージシャンはよく～を持っていることがある」です。
何を持っているかというと、
higher levels of executive function, で「より高レベルの実行機能を」です。
higher levels ～ (than ～)「（～よりも）高いレベル」と比較対象が省略されています。
ここでは「ミュージシャンではない人よりも」ということですね。
executive function は「執行機能、執行的な役割」です。
executive は会社での「役員、執行役員」という意味もある通り「執行的な、管理的な」という意味です。
つまり音楽を俯瞰してその方針などを考える役割、ということです。

, a category of interlinked tasks とカンマで区切って同格を表して「（それはつまり）関連し合ったタスク群」です。
higher levels of executive function と同格で言い替えている形です。

that includes ～「（それは）～などを含む」
主格の関係代名詞 that でつなげています。
planning, strategizing, and attention to detail で「プランニング、戦略、細部へのこだわり」です。
～, ～, and ～ の列挙の形が見つけられたでしょうか。
attention to detail は決まり文句的に「細部へのこだわり、細かいところまでの気配り」と言った意味になります。

and「また」
requires simultaneous analysis で「（それは）同時の分析を必要とする」です。
requires の主語は先ほどの関係代名詞 that です。
includes と and で並列になっています。
何の同時分析が必要なのかというと、
(simultaneous analysis of) both cognitive and emotional aspects. で「認知と感情の両面の（同時分析）」です。
認知と感情は、左脳と右脳、に相対しています。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
