で「率直に言おう。私たちが消費するものの大部分が、知識ではなく基本的欲求と衝動によって決定されている。何を食べるかを決める工程は、まず我々の頭の中で始まる。そして食品業界以上に私たちの意識（頭）の中に居座っている者はいない。そして彼らはあらゆる手を使って自分たちのメッセージを売り込むために数十億ドルも費やしているのだ。」という意味になります。

こちらから引用元の記事が読めます。

Let’s face it は決まり文句で「現実を見つめよう、率直に言おう」という意味です。
face はここでは動詞で「～に向きあう、直面する」という意味になっています。

so much of what we consume が主語です。「私たちが消費するもののかなり多く」です。
so much of ～ で「～かなり多く、～の大半」です。
what we consume で「私たちが消費するもの、私たちが摂取するもの」です。
consume は「（商品やサービスを）消費する、（食べ物などを）摂取する」という意味の動詞です。
is not driven by ～ で「～によって決定されていない」です。
drive ～ で「～を駆りたてる」ですので、ここでは受動態 be driven by ～ で「（～に追い立てられて）決定される」という意味合いです。
by knowledge で「知識によって（決定されていない）」です。
but by basic craving and impulse. で「（ではなくて）基本的欲求と衝動によって（決定されている）」です。
not ～ but …「～ではなく…」の形になっています。
craving は「渇望、欲求」です。
動詞形は crave ク[レ]イヴで「～を渇望する、熱望する」です。

The process of what we eat が主語で「私たちが何を食べるかのプロセスは」です。
what we eat で「私達が何を食べるか、食べる物」です。
そのプロセスは starts in our heads. で「私たちの頭の中で始まる」です。

And ～「そして～」
no one is more in our heads than ～ で「～よりも、私達の頭の中にいるものはいない」です。
no one is more ～ than … で「…ほど～な者はいない」という意味の言い回しです。
than a food industry で「食品業界よりも」です。
つまり食品業界がもっとも私たちの頭の中にいる（刷り込まれている）、ということです。
関係代名詞 that でつなげて、その食品業界は、
that spends billions of dollars で「数十億ドルを費やしている」です。
何に費やしているかというと、
(spend ～) in marketing its message で「彼らのメッセージを売り込むことに」です。
marketing its message で「食品業界のメッセージを売り込むこと」です。
every means possible. で「ありとあらゆる手段」という意味のコロケーション。
every means で「あらゆる手段」で、possible は後ろから means を修飾して「可能な」です。
ここでは in ～ が使われていますが、by every means possible とも言えます。
例：by all means「何としてでも、ぜひとも」

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

知識によって決定されるのではなく
