TED-Edより「4 things all great listeners know（すべての優れた聞き手が知っている４つのこと）」です。

Once the conversation begins, one of the most important things you can do is also the most obvious — try not to interrupt. This doesn’t mean you need to stay completely silent. But if you do interject, look for natural pauses to ask open-ended questions that benefit the speaker, not just your curiosity.

で「会話が始まったら、最も大事なことの一つもまた実に当たり前のことで、話を遮らないようにすることです。完全に沈黙しなければならないということではありません。でも、もし口を挟むのなら、自然な間を見つけて、ただ好奇心を満たすためだけではなく、話している人を助けるような自由回答形式の質問をしましょう。」という意味になります。

Once the conversation begins, で「ひとたび会話が始まったら」です。
one of the most important things (that) you can do が主語で「あなたができる最も大事なことの一つ」です。
is also the most obvious で「（それは）また最も明白である」です。
obvious は「明白な、明らかな、疑う余地のない」という意味の形容詞。
副詞形 obviously「明らかに、どう見ても」もよく使われます。
それはつまり、
try not to interrupt. で「話を遮らないようにしましょう」です。
interrupt は「～を遮る、～を遮断する、話の腰を折る」です。

This doesn’t mean (that) ～ で「これは～ということを意味するわけではない」です。
(that) you need to stay completely silent. で「あなたが完全に沈黙状態でいる必要がある（ということ）」です。
stay 形容詞 で「～の状態でいる」という意味の言い回しで、stay silent で「黙っている」です。

But ～「しかし」
if you do interject, で「もしどうしても言葉を差しはさむなら」です。
この do は強調の do で「（それでもあえて）～する」という意味合いです。
先ほどの interrupt に似ていますが interject は「～を差しはさむ」です。
例：interject one’s comment「コメントを入れる」
look for natural pauses で「自然な間を探しましょう」です。
look for ～ で「～を探す」
to ask open-ended questions で「（そして）自由回答形式の質問をする」です。
open-ended question は「自由回答形式の質問」です。
つまり、Yes か No だけでは答えられないような質問です。
対義語は、closed question「イエスノー形式の質問」
関係代名詞 that でつなげて、
that benefit the speaker, で「（その質問は）話者に益する」です。
benefit ～ はここでは動詞で「～の役に立つ、～ためになる、～にプラスになる」
つまり、話を盛り上げるような質問をしよう、ということですね。
not just your curiosity. で「あなたの興味を満たすだけではなく」です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

ひとたび会話が始まれば

あなたができることの中で最も大事なことの一つは

is also the most obvious —
最も明白なことでもある

try not to interrupt.
（つまり）話の腰を折らないようにしましょう

This doesn’t mean
これは～ということを意味しているわけではない

you need to stay completely silent.
完全に黙っている必要がある（ということ）

But
しかし

if you do interject,
もしどうしても口をはさむなら

look for natural pauses
自然な間を見つけて

to ask open-ended questions
オープンな質問をしましょう

that benefit
～にプラスになるような（質問を）

the speaker,
話者に

not just your curiosity.
自分の興味のためだけではなくて
