Today, I work in aircraft ground handling. My employer is short-staffed and told us to stop even trying to load people’s luggage onto the plane with them, and to just throw it on a huge heap in the basement and sort it all out in a few months when things are less busy. FML
で「今日、私は飛行機の地上荷物作業の仕事をしている。私の雇用主は人手が足りなくて、乗客の預かり荷物をその便に積み込む努力はもうしなくていいと私たちに言った。そして、その荷物は地下の巨大な荷物の山に投げ入れておくだけでいいと。そして、もうちょっと暇になってから２～３か月以内で全部片付ければいいと。」という意味になります。

I work in aircraft ground handling. で「私は飛行機の地上管理作業の仕事をしている」です。
work in ～ で「～の分野（業界）で働く」です。
aircraft ground handling で「飛行機の地上担当」です。
ここでの handle は「～に対処する、処理する、担当する」です。
飛行場で発着する飛行機の誘導や乗客荷物などを処理する仕事ですね。

My employer is short-staffed and ～ で「うちの雇用主は人手不足で～」
told us to (do) ～ で「私たちスタッフに～するように言った」です。
stop even trying to (do) ～ で「～しようとすることさえやめろ」です。
stop ～ing で「～することを止める」という意味のコロケーション。
何をしようとすることを止めるのかというと、
(to) load people’s luggage onto the plane with them, で「人々の荷物を積み込むこと、飛行機に、彼らと一緒に」です。
load ～ で「～を積み込む」
people’s luggage は「乗客の荷物」ですね。機内持ち込み手荷物ではなく、預かり荷物のことですね。
onto the plane で「その飛行機に」
with them, の them は people のことで「乗客」のことです。
つまり乗客と同じ便に荷物を載せなくてもいい、ということですん。
and ～「そして～」
to just throw it で「それらをただ投げておけ（と言った）」です。
it は luggage を指しています。luggage は集合名詞（不可算名詞）なので複数形を取りません。

on a huge heap in the basement で「巨大な山の上に、地下にある」です。
heap は「積みあがった山」です。

and ～「そして～」
sort it all out で「それらを全部片づけろ」です。
sort it out で「それを片付ける」です。sort out は「～をまとめる、解決する、片付ける」という意味の句動詞。
例：sort out a problem「問題を解決する」
in a few months で「２～３か月以内に」
when things are less busy. で「状況が今より忙しくなくなった時に」です。
