This is the part of the brain that ～ で「これは脳の～する部分です」です。
the part of the brain を受けて 関係代名詞that節 が続き、
(that) plays a large role in ～ で「～において大きな役割を果たす（脳の部分）」です。
play a ～ role で「～な役割を果たす」という意味の言い回しです。
in ～「～において」の後に、
～, ～, ～, and ～ と４つ列挙されています。
executive function, で「実行機能、執行機能」です。
executive は「行政の、執行の」という意味合いです。
例：executive and administrative organ「行政機関」、executive board「執行委員会」
problem solving, で「問題解決」
switching between tasks, で「タスク間の切り替え」です。
and ～「そして～（最後に）」
focusing while ～ で「～しながらも集中すること」です。
(while) filtering out irrelevant information. で「無関係な情報を遮断しながら」
filter out ～ で「～を濾過して取り除く、除去する」です。
irrelevant イ[レ]レヴァントゥで「（今は）無関係な、不適切な、重要でない」という意味の形容詞。
否定の接頭語 ir- と、relevant「関連のある、重要な」がつながった形です。
