で「クリスマスとは、見返りを求めずに与える気持ちである。人々の中に喜びが見えるからクリスマスは幸せなのだ。それは、我を忘れ人のために時間を使うこと。それは、無意味なことを捨て去って、本物の価値を重視することである。」という意味になります。

the spirit of giving で「与える気持ち、与える精神」です。
ギブアンドテイクのギブですね。

without a thought of getting で「受け取るという気持ち無しに、見返りを求めずに」です。
thought of getting で「貰う（受けとる）という気持ち、考え」です。
without a thought of ～ で「～を全く考えずに」という意味を作る言い回しです。
例：without any thought of gain「儲けることを考えずに」

It is happiness because we see joy in people. で「人々の中に喜びが見えるから、それは幸せである」です。
It は Christmas のことです。
It is happiness because ～ で「～だから（こそ）それは幸せなのだ」です。
we see joy in people で「人の中に喜びが見えるから」です。
（自分ではなく）人が喜んでいるのを見られるからこそ幸せ、ということです。

It is forgetting self and finding time for others. で「それは、我を忘れて、人のために時間を見つけること」です。
forget self で「自分のことは忘れる、私欲を捨てる」という意味になります。
例：self-forgetting「無私無欲の」
find time for ～ は「～のための時間を作る、時間を割く」という意味の言い回しです。
例：find time for one’s family「家族との時間を作る」

It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values で「それは、無意味なことを捨て去って、本物の価値を重視することである」となります。
discard the meaningless で「無意味なことを捨て去る」です。
meaningless は「無意味な」という意味の形容詞です。
the がついて「無意味なもの、無意味なこと」となります。
discard は「捨て去る、捨てる、処分する」という意味の動詞です。
例：discard old habits「古い習慣を捨てる」

stress the true values で「そして本当の価値を強調する」です。
stress には「圧をかける、強調する、アクセントをつける、重視する、際立たせる」という意味があります。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
