JOHN F. KENNEDY
Now the trumpet summons us again — not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need — not as a call to battle, though embattled we are — but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle, year in and year out, “rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation,” a struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself.

Now「今」
the trumpet summons us again「ラッパが再び私たちを呼び集めている」です。
not as a call to bear arms,
not as ~「~としてではなく」
arms we need は we need arms の arms が前置した形です。
— not as a call to battle,
(not) ~ but …
(but) a call to bear the burden of ~「~の重荷を背負えという呼びかけ」
(of) a long twilight struggle,「長い薄明の闘い(の重荷)」です。
, year in and year out,「来る年も来る年も」です。
“rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation,”「希望に喜びながら、苦難に耐えながら」
例:the Great Tribulation「(キリスト教)大艱難」
, a struggle against the common enemies of man:「人類の共通の敵に対する闘い」
