Today, I was fired for not having a reliable mode of transportation. I’ve only had to take the bus recently because three days ago, my boss’s son was messing around in the parking garage, lost control, and totaled my car. FML
で「今日、私は会社を首になった。時間に正確な交通手段が無かったから。最近はバスに乗るしかなかった。なぜなら会社の上司の息子が駐車場ビルでふざけて運転していて、操作を誤って、私の車を全損させたから。F*ck my life!」という意味になります。

I was fired for ～ で「～の理由で私は首になった」となります。
be fired で「首になる、解雇される」です。

どういう理由でかというと、
for not having a reliable mode of transportation で「時間に正確な交通手段が無かったから」です。

not having で「～を持っていなかった」です。
a reliable mode of transportation で「時間に正確な交通機関」となります。
mode of transportation で「交通手段、輸送手段」という意味のイディオムです。
reliable は「頼れる、当てにできる」という意味ですが、特に交通手段に使う場合は「定時性のある、時間に正確な」という意味でも使われます。
動詞形は、rely リ[ラ]イ「～を頼る」です。

I’ve only had to take the bus recently で「私は、最近はバスに乗るしかなかった」です。

because ～ で「なぜなら～だから」

three days ago, my boss’s son was messing around in the parking garage, で「３日前、私の上司の息子が駐車場ビルでふざけて運転して」です。
my boss’s son で「上司の息子」となります。
boss は「職場の上司」という意味の名詞です。
mess around は「ふざけて騒ぐ、じゃれあう、ぞんざいに扱う」という意味の句動詞です。
mess は「ごちゃごちゃにする」という意味の動詞。
around は「その辺を、周りを」という意味の副詞です。
例：mess around with paint「絵具をふざけて無駄にしてしまう」、Stop messing around.「ふざけるな！」
in the parking garage で「駐車場ビルで」です。
parking garage は「駐車場ビル」です。
自走式の立体駐車場です。

lost control, and totaled my car. で「運転を誤って、私の車を全損させた」となります。
lost control は「操作を誤って、運転を誤る」となります。
total はこの場合「車を全損させる」という意味の動詞です。
例：My car crashed and was totaled.「車が衝突して全損した。」

上司の息子に、自分の車を貸してあげたら事故って全損してしまったということですかね。
また、交通手段としてのバスが reliable ではない、というのも日本の感覚とちょっと違うところです。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
